The 2024 fishing season has come and gone in Ketchikan, Alaska. We had an excellent season and had one of the best halibut fishing summers we’ve ever seen. There were very few days that our Alaska fishing guests returned to thedocks without limits of pacific halibut. King salmon were a little more elusive in the early part of June but once they showed themselves around the middle of the month we experienced some hot and heavy action. Trolling for big kings close to town is one of the most relaxed Alaskan Fishing charters we offer that has the largest reward!

We saw several kings north of twenty pounds with a handful of others pushing thirty. The pink salmon showed up in force around the first week of July and the silvers weren’t far behind. We continued to have great bottom fishing through the month as well. Once August arrived, we began to see the king salmon and pink salmon wean out and theearly fall silver salmon show. It wasn’t until the latter half of August that the silver salmon fishing turned red hot butonce it did it was all hands-on deck. We look forward to another great season in 2025 and will be posting updates with what our season of regulations and limits will be. Tight Lines!

Cheers,
